Holiday Waste Information

As we prepare for and enjoy the holidays, please remember to Recycle Right and contribute to a more Sustainable Coral Springs!

Recycle Right

The following items may NOT be recycled:

  • Ornaments
  • Tinsel
  • Tree Lights
  • Shredded wrapping paper (pieces smaller than 4 inches)

Please dispose of these items in green bins, and visit the recycling webpage for a full list of recyclable items.

Cardboard Recycling 

Cardboard may be placed with your bulk pickup or dropped off from December 18 - 31 at the parking lot between the Coral Springs Gymnasium and the Public Safety Building - 2601 Coral Springs Drive.

Please remove any plastic film, bubble wrap and Styrofoam from boxes before discarding.

Christmas Tree Disposal

Please remove all ornaments, lights and tinsel from the tree before discarding a tree.

Broward County Chip-A-Tree Program

Drop your Christmas tree at a participating Broward County Park where they will recycle your tree for landscaping. Limit of two trees per vehicle. Artificial trees or commercial vehicles are not allowed. Weekend and holiday gate park entrance fees will not be in effect for recyclers. Bulk Pickup

Residents can place Christmas trees as part of your bulk pickup. To find your bulk pickup day, view schedule. Multi-family home residents should check with their HOA on bulk pick up guidelines.

There is no need to call for a tree pick up unless it does not get collected during your regularly scheduled bulk pickup. 

Waste Transfer Station

Residents may drop-off Christmas trees at the city's Waste Transfer Station any Saturday or Sunday. The Waste Transfer Station is closed on December 24 and December 25.
