This forum is designed to foster an open dialogue with mental health professionals, providing valuable insights into the challenges our community faces and the resources available to support mental well-being.

Johana Cubas Headshot.jpg Johana Cubas, LCSW is a licensed clinical social worker in Florida with a specialization in clinical practice with children, adolescents, and families. For over 15 years, Johana has worked with adolescents and adults with a history of anxiety, depression, and trauma. Johana's work has also been centered on couples facing various challenges. Aside from having her own private practice, Johana also works as a crisis clinician for Henderson Behavioral Health/Mobile Crisis Response Team.

 

Mareo Hood Headshot.jpg Mareo Hood, LSCW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience in the mental health field. His passion for mental wellness began during his time as a collegiate student-athlete, where he discovered the profound connection between mental resilience and performance. He has provided therapeutic and behavioral support to children and adults with severe disabilities for over 15 years, and has served as a Crisis Clinician, offering critical support during some of life’s most stressful and pivotal moments. He also has extensive experience as a Mental Health Therapist within specialized educational settings, working with students who face emotional and behavioral disabilities.

Sean Khan Headshot.png Sean Khan, M.S., LMHC is a psychotherapist, with over 25 years of clinical experience.Sean spent over a decade with a community-based mobile crisis response team, working inclose collaboration with multiple law enforcement agencies, assessing and evaluating acomplex patient population, with severe and persistent mental illness.For the past several years, Sean has established a reputable private practice supporting firstresponders, military clients as well as the civilian population. Sean also serves as the lead clinician and advisor to the City of Coral Springs fire, police and general employees’ peer support teams. He is also a member of Broward County’s CISM team.Sean is a native New Yorker. After moving to South Florida in 1990, he completed his undergraduate degree at Florida International University and his graduate degree in counseling and psychology at Nova Southeastern University.
