Communications and Intergovernmental Affairs
Lynne Martzall was promoted to Executive Director of Communications and Intergovernmental Affairs for the City of Coral Springs in January 2025. In her expanded role, she oversees the city’s intergovernmental relations and educational priorities, in addition to managing its comprehensive communication and marketing strategies for the city. With over 25 years of public service experience, Lynne has built a career ingrained in servant leadership, fostering cohesion through effective communication in multiple formats.
Since joining the City of Coral Springs in January 2014, Lynne has led transformative initiatives that elevate community engagement, transparency, and collaboration. Promoted to Director of Communications and Marketing in December 2019, she has overseen the city’s digital content, website development, social media management, creative services, photography, videography, event planning, and sponsorship strategies. Lynne specializes in crisis communication, creative storytelling, and serves as the city’s spokesperson.
Her commitment to community service is underscored by her work in addressing critical issues such as suicide prevention, traffic safety, and public safety operations. A three-time Emmy Award winner, Lynne has been recognized for her ability to open delicate conversations that inspire understanding and action. She takes pride in using communication as a bridge to connect diverse groups and foster meaningful dialogue.
With decades of experience working in political arenas, Lynne holds deep respect for elected officials who dedicate themselves to serving their communities. She believes in the power of servant leadership and values the importance of collaborative partnerships that drive progress.
Before her time in Coral Springs, Lynne served as the External Affairs Manager for the Broward Sheriff’s Office, where she developed and implemented communication strategies for Broward County’s 1.8 million residents. Her expertise in government and public safety communications has earned her recognition from the National Association of County Information Officers, the Association for Women in Communications, the Public Relations Society of America, and other prestigious organizations.
Lynne is an active member of the Florida Municipal Communications Association, the South Florida Media Coalition, and 3CMA. She frequently shares her knowledge and expertise as a speaker on public relations and crisis communication, presenting to organizations such as the Florida City and County Management Association and the Florida League of Mayors.
A graduate of Nova Southeastern University’s Executive Leadership Program, Lynne also attended Briarcliffe College in New York.
