Deputy City Manager Bradley McKeone
Bradley McKeone, a long-time resident of Coral Springs, was promoted to Deputy City Manager in December 2024. In this new role, he oversees Parks and Recreation, Community Engagement, Emergency Preparedness, and Police and Fire Operations. A dedicated community leader, McKeone is excited to elevate the city’s vision to be the premier community in which to live, work, and raise a family.
McKeone began his career with the Coral Springs Police Department in 1999, serving as a patrol officer and field training officer. In 2005, he was promoted to investigator and joined the Vice, Intelligence, and Narcotics Unit, where he was assigned to the Fort Lauderdale District Office of the DEA and served as a K-9 handler.
He rose through the ranks with successive promotions: sergeant in 2009, where he supervised Patrol and the Traffic Unit; lieutenant in January 2014; and captain in November 2014, leading the Community Services and Patrol/Operation Support components. McKeone became Deputy Chief in March 2018 before being named Chief of Police in 2022. Additionally, he served as the executive officer for the SWAT team.
Under McKeone’s leadership, the department gained significant recognition, including earning him an Emmy Award for the innovative Traffic Thursday’s series, which highlighted the city’s efforts to educate and enforce traffic laws and brought widespread community engagement.
McKeone holds numerous degrees, certifications, and honors. He graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and earned a master’s degree in Criminal Justice from Columbia Southern University. He is also a graduate of the Southern Police Institute Command Officers Development Course (Session 75) and the prestigious FBI National Academy Program in Quantico, Virginia (276th Session).
He has received numerous accolades, including awards for Exceptional Police Initiative, Team Citations, and being named Officer of the Year in 2008.
As a proud Coral Springs resident, McKeone and his wife are raising their three children in the community he serves. In his new capacity as Deputy City Manager, McKeone remains deeply committed to the city’s growth, safety, and continued excellence.
