Julie Krolak was promoted to Deputy City Manager of the City of Coral Springs in December 2024. In her expanded role, she continues to oversee Development Services while also managing the City Clerk’s Office, Economic Development, and Financial Services. Known for her strong commitment to enhancing city aesthetics and supporting business development and prosperity, Julie plays a vital role in shaping Coral Springs’ growth and future.

A resident of Coral Springs, Julie and her husband are proud to raise their two children in the community she serves. Public service runs in her family; her mother, a former Mayor of Oakland Park, instilled in her the importance of civic engagement from a young age. This early exposure to public service inspired Julie’s passion for building strong, vibrant communities.

Julie’s professional achievements have left a lasting impact on Coral Springs. As Director of Development Services, she led initiatives like the Downtown Zoning District Code changes and rezoning projects, which have significantly influenced the city’s future development. For her exceptional leadership, direction, and guidance on multiple city programs, she was honored with the City’s Leadership Award in 2018.

With more than a decade of service to Coral Springs, Julie has held various roles, including Director and Assistant Director of Development Services, Chief Planner, and Planning and Zoning Manager. She is an active member of several committees, contributing her expertise to community-focused initiatives.

Before joining Coral Springs, Julie served as the Principal Planner for the City of Hollywood, Florida. She holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in public administration from the University of Central Florida, demonstrating a strong academic foundation for her impactful career in public service.

Julie remains dedicated to fostering a prosperous, beautiful, and thriving Coral Springs for generations to come.
