Captain Paul Kempinski currently serves as the Administrative Captain at the Coral Springs Police Department assigned to the Emergency Communications Center and the Real Time Crime Center. Captain Kempinski began his career with the department in 2003 as an Emergency 911 Dispatcher before becoming a sworn police officer in 2006.

Throughout his career, Captain Kempinski has gained extensive patrol experience, including serving as a Field Training Officer. In 2013, he became a detective in the General Investigations Unit, where he handled various property crime investigations such as auto thefts and burglaries. Kempinski was promoted to Sergeant in 2018 and was assigned to the patrol division. In 2021, he returned to the General Investigations Unit as its Sergeant. From 2022 to 2024, Kempinski led the Crimes Against Persons unit before being promoted to Captain in June 2024.

Captain Kempinski's exemplary service has earned him numerous commendations, including one Administrative Service Commendation, one Community Involvement Commendation, ten Exceptional Police Initiative Commendations, one Lifesaving Commendation, four Team Citation Awards, and the Valor Commendation. Additionally, he was a member of the Unit of the Year in 2008, 2016, and 2020, and was recognized as Officer of the Year in 2009.

Captain Kempinski holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University.
