When Salon SHE Owner, Mercedes started her business in Coral Springs there were not many other salons in the area offering hair care services for natural hair styles. Today, after seven years in business, Salon SHE is known as one of the best for pampering their clients with one-on-one, professional attention for everything from haircuts and treatments to extensions and braids – and more.

“We focus on making self-care a priority,” Mercedes said. “I wanted a place for women to relax, be amongst other women, and ‘let their hair down.’”

Reflecting on Women’s History Month and being a female business owner, Mercedes hopes to encourage other women to overcome their fears and take risks.

“We’re powerful!” Mercedes said. “I was always afraid, but now that I’m here, I have no regrets.
